Cross Sections Dialog

Opens when Cross Section is selected in the Roadway Elements group.
SettingDescription
Add Cross Section Press the folder icon to create a new cross section. When the edit box appears in the list accept the default cross section name or enter a new cross section name then hit the Enter key.
Delete Cross Section Delete a cross section by highlighting the profile name in the list and press the Delete (X) button.
Template: This input applies to the overall template definition:

Add Press this button to add another template to the cross section. The template will be added to the template dropdown list.
Template List If there is more than one template in the cross section definition select the template that is active for editing from this drop down list.
Delete Press this button to delete the active template from the cross section definition.
Station Enter the station where the template applies. The template will be in effect until another template is encountered along the alignment or the end of the alignment is met.
PG Offset Enter the horizontal offset from the certerline of the bridge to the profile grade. If the profile grade is along the alignment, this value is zero.
PG Node Enter the node number in the cross section template representing the profile grade line.
Plane This input applies to the individual planes that make up the template.
Add Press this button to add another plane to the template definition. A new line will appear in the grid and the plane will appear in the graphic view.
Insert Press this button to insert a plane into the template before the currently highlighted line in the grid. The plane will also appear in the graphic view.
Delete Press this button to delete the currently highlighted plane from the template. The plane will also be removed from the graphic view.
Width Type This field is currently limited to "distance".
Width Enter the width of the plane segment in feet.
Vertical Type This field is currently limited to "slope".
Vertical Enter the plane segment slope in percent.
Save DGN

The following button will save the Cross sections 2D model directly and accurately to Microstation DGN file format, including layers. Save the DGN file in the desired location and once the export is successful you can browse to file location and open/view in Microstation.

OK Press this button to accept the definition and exit the dialog.
Cancel Press this button to exit the dialog without saving changes.
